Description

The halogen-free activated no-clean flux EF250 is the latest addition to the successful EasyFlux flux series. Developed with a low proportion of activators, the aim was to achieve the lowest possible amount of residue in the system technology and on the assemblies, while at the same time achieving the best possible activation. The smallest amounts of residue, which build up in wave soldering systems over the course of weeks, can be easily removed. Due to the activator/solvent mixture used, this flux can of course also be used for selective soldering, where it achieves good solder penetration.

Areas of application

The flux EF250 was developed for application with spray fluxers. The amount of flux applied can be easily controlled, making solderability and residue quantities easy to regulate. The combination of different activators ensures good wetting of various surfaces (e.g. OSP, Ni/Au, HAL). The flux EF250 can be used under all atmospheric conditions (partial nitrogen spraying, tunnel systems and without nitrogen), although the amount of flux applied can still be reduced when processing under nitrogen.
