The MEAN WELL The system power solutions developed by the company can be used in very high-power application scenarios, such as electric vehicle charging, industrial automation, stage lighting, electronic product burn-in systems, UV curing systems, telecom/datacom systems, and more. To facilitate industrial automation, the CMU2R-C is integrated into the solution to individually support communication using PMbus, CANBus, or Modbus protocols, allowing remote monitoring and control of critical electrical system performance parameters over wired and wireless networks.

Super-Power System for Synchrotron of Taiwan Photon Source (TPS)

The operation of the synchrotron (particle accelerator) requires enormous energy. Therefore, a well-known research institute in Taiwan decided to use the energy solution of the MEAN WELL System. First, the RF amplifier cluster is powered to generate high-frequency current, then high-frequency current is injected into the storage ring to make the electrons move at nearly the speed of light. When all power systems are operating simultaneously, the total output power reaches 800 kW .
