Description
Stannol Ecoloy TC (Sn99Cu1) is a lead-free solder according to ISO 9453:2006 (alloy no. 401) to eliminate the use of tin/lead alloys in all existing production processes in electronics manufacturing. Its use ensures that lead-free assemblies can be manufactured in accordance with WEEE and RoHS. Stannol Ecoloy TC eliminates the problematic disposal of lead-containing waste materials.
Technical data
- Pure tin-copper alloy
- Patent-free alloy - no license fees
- Tested in electronics production with positive results
- Eutectic alloy (defined melting point at 227°C)
- Good wetting properties
- Inexpensive - does not contain silver
Application
When using this alloy, it is necessary to adjust the temperature profiles on the production equipment. The solder joints produced with Ecoloy TC will be comparable in all respects to solder joints produced with Sn/Pb solders. This alloy can be used both for wave soldering electronic assemblies and for tinning wire strands.
