Description
The UR5048 is a flexible casting resin with a translucent amber appearance, relatively low viscosity and low Shore hardness. It is easily removable, making it a good choice for potting assemblies that may require subsequent repairability. Due to the fact that the resin is translucent, defects can be easily detected in most cases. The potting compound can then simply be removed from the affected area. It is not necessary to remove the entire assembly.
UR5048 absorbs very little moisture, making it an ideal choice for potting assemblies that operate in humid environments.
Technical data
- Very low hardness - can be easily cut into and mechanically removed
- Transparent/clear-amber colored, which enables easy troubleshooting
- Only low mechanical stress on encapsulated components
- Ideal for potting small components that are exposed to mechanical and thermal shock stress
- Excellent performance even at low temperatures, remains flexible down to -60°C
- Very low water absorption; ideal for very humid ambient conditions
- RoHS compliant
