Description
ER2218 is a low viscosity epoxy casting resin with excellent thermal stability. The material has been developed to allow (partially) encapsulated PCBs to pass through the reflow soldering process and remain stable for this short period of time while exposed to high temperatures. The system uses a hardener component that is free of DDM or other aromatic amines. The technology used for flame retardancy is "clean" and results in a relatively low release of toxic gases and fumes.
Its extremely low viscosity makes it a perfect choice for potting very complex and small electronic assemblies with very small gaps that are used over a very wide temperature range
