Description
The lower copper content in wave soldering is advantageous, as the copper content automatically increases when copper is removed from the circuit board. This results in a longer service life for the wave solder bath.
Stannol Ecoloy TSC (Sn95,7Ag3,8Cu0,5) is a lead-free solder according to ISO 9453:2006 (alloy no. 713), which can be used to replace eutectic or near eutectic tin-lead or tin-lead-silver alloys. The Stannol Ecoloy TSC alloy has been developed to eliminate the use of tin/lead alloys in all existing electronics manufacturing processes. Wherever the use of lead-containing layers in printed circuit boards and components has been dispensed with, the use of Stannol Ecoloy TSC alloys ensures that absolutely lead-free assemblies can be manufactured. Stannol Ecoloy TSC eliminates the problematic disposal of lead-containing waste materials.

Application:
When using these alloys, it is necessary to adjust the temperature profiles on the production equipment. The resulting solder joints will be comparable or even better in all respects to solder joints produced with Sn/Pb solders.
