SN100C Bar plumb bob 1kg bar
Description
SN100C is a silver-free, microalloyed alloy developed and patented by the Japanese company Nihon Superior. The microalloying element nickel reduces copper accumulation in the solder bath and facilitates stable process control. The second microalloying element, germanium, reduces the formation of dross, thereby helping to conserve resources and protect the environment. In addition, the alloy component nickel forms a finer intermetallic phase with tin and copper, resulting in increased stability of the solder joints. Furthermore, the alloy exhibits very good wetting behavior, and the tendency to form bridges is reduced.
Technical data
- Micro-alloyed, eutectic alloy (melting point at 227°C)
- Reduced deposition rate compared to the SnCu0.7 alloy
- Reduced dross formation compared to the SnCu0.7 alloy
- Reduced tendency to form bridges and cones
- Shiny solder joints
- Silver-free and therefore cost-effective
