Description

Activated inorganic flux type 3.1.1 A according to DIN EN 29454-1 (DIN 8511 F-SW12). Stannol Soldering Water No. 1V is an activated inorganic flux for soldering and tinning metal goods made of copper, iron, steel and brass. The flux residues have a corrosive effect. They are water-soluble and can be removed from smooth surfaces with water or washing solution.

APPLICATION

For metals that are easy to solder, a thin application of flux is often sufficient; for surfaces that are difficult to solder, it is recommended to clean them beforehand or mechanically remove the oxide layer by sanding. The application method depends on the application; suitable methods include brushing, dripping, and dipping. Heating can be done with a soldering iron, a flame, or by dipping the workpiece into a hot solder bath. When dipping, ensure that the workpiece is not immersed too quickly into the hot solder bath to prevent the flux from evaporating explosively.
