Safe explosion protection
Not all explosion protection is the same. There are different scenarios and application sources that require different explosion protection. Ex cable glands from HUMMEL offer protection in very different environments.

Ex e Increased safety: The cable gland prevents the occurrence of sparks and arcs inside or on external parts of electrical equipment that do not occur during normal operation.

Ex d Flameproof enclosure: Parts that can ignite an explosive atmosphere are firmly enclosed in an enclosure. The enclosure withstands the pressure of an explosion and prevents transmission to the outside.

Ex ta Protection against dust: The cable gland protects the enclosure against the ingress of dust in accordance with EN IEC 60529
