The RPMGQ-20 has the industry standard quarter-brick format, while the RPMGS-20 has the emerging standard 36.83 x 34.04mm housing size with a standard sixteenth-brick pinout. Both products have a maximum height of 15mm above the mounting surface. The components are operated with an input voltage of 18V-75V. Optional outputs are offered with a nominal voltage of 5V or 12V, trimmable over a wide range, 3.3V to 8V and 8V to 24V respectively.
The efficiency of both RECOM modules is very high, reaching peak values of 98% for the 12V output versions and 94% for the 5V output versions, with an almost flat efficiency curve up to a load of around 10%. Due to the low losses and the advanced thermal design, full load up to an ambient temperature of more than 90°C with derating to 120°C is possible for all versions with airflow cooling.
The products have comprehensive protection against undervoltage at the input, overcurrent at the output, short circuit and overtemperature. An input for remote monitoring and control is also available.
