Recom REC-K series: Powerful DC/DC converters with up to 30 watts in a 1×1-inch housing

The latest generation of cost-effective DC/DC power modules is now even more powerful - with a rated output of up to 30W and a wide input range in a housing measuring just 1×1 inch and 0.4 inch high (25.4 x 25.4 x 10.2mm).

The REC10K, REC20K and REC30K components are available in 10W, 20W and 30W output power versions and offer a wide 4:1 input range with voltages of 9-36V and 18-75VDC respectively. They feature a variety of precisely regulated output voltages including 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 24V as well as +/-5V, +/-12V, +/-15V and +/-24V (REC10K only). The REC30K also offers a high-efficiency option with a 2:1 input range of 36-75VDC. The output voltages can be trimmed by +/-10% and a remote ON/OFF function is also available.

The components are certified according to IEC/EN/UL62368-1 and offer an isolation voltage of 2kVDC/1 minute (1.6kVDC/1 minute for the REC10K). They operate reliably in an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +105°C with derating (up to 100°C for the REC10K). External filters according to the data sheet enable compliance with the EMC standards for conducted interference emissions of device classes A and B.

In addition, the converters offer protection functions against undervoltage, overcurrent, overvoltage and short circuit and have a high mean time between failures (MTBF) of up to 1.5 Mhrs at 25°C in accordance with MIL-HBK-217-F. These components are particularly suitable for applications where high power density and cost efficiency are critical without sacrificing performance or reliability. Typical applications include building and home automation, data and telecommunications, power supply, industrial automation and test and measurement systems.
