An extension of the popular RACM family is the RACM30-K/277 series, which offers a rated output of 30W (36W peak). This series defines a new benchmark with a thermally effective power density of 9.2W/inch³ at 60°C natural convection. The housing has a size of 1.6″ x 2″ x 1″ (40 x 52.5 x 25.5mm).
These encapsulated AC/DC print modules are silicone-free and offer an ultra-wide input range of 85-305VAC (120V to 430VDC). They are available in output voltages of 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V +/-12V or +/-15V and offer comprehensive protection against overvoltage, overcurrent and short circuits. They are also classified as a "Limited Power Source".
The modules operate reliably in the temperature range from -40°C to +60°C with natural convection and up to +90°C with derating. They are designed for use in OVC III and PD 3 category environments up to an altitude of 5000m. The modules have safety certifications in the audio/video, IT, test equipment, industrial, domestic and MOPP medical sectors, with 4kVAC/1 min insulation. They meet Class B EMC levels with a large safety margin, without the need for external components or earthed outputs.
The RECOM RACM30-K/277 series is available as a PCB mount version with an industry standard pinout. It is compatible with the RAC20 series, allowing for easy power expansion. In addition, it can also be supplied with stranded cables, which are perfect for a 60mm flush wall installation. Another option is the convertible version for panel mounting, which has push-in spring terminals and can accommodate both hard and stranded cables. This version can be converted to DIN rail mounting using an optional clip.
