With the EPA Gatekeeper®
The proximity sensor automatically activates the device as soon as a user approaches it. If no further measurements are taken, the device returns to stand-by mode. This stand-by mode helps to save energy while extending the display's service life. In addition, the environmental parameters of temperature and humidity, which have a significant influence on the ESD measurement, are monitored by the integrated sensors and recorded in the measurement data for each individual measurement.
ERGONOMIC OPERATION
Simple ESD testing of the wrist strap
The front of the devices is equipped with high-quality stainless steel touch surfaces on both sides. The arrangement of these touch surfaces ensures ergonomic operation for both left- and right-handed users. A simple touch impulse on one of the two stainless steel touch surfaces starts the measurement. The connections on the front of the device are made of solid stainless steel and enable the wrist strap to be tested in accordance with current standards. All three connections are equally connected to each other, which ensures a long service life, especially when ESD measuring and testing devices are used on a daily basis.

The card reader
The integrated multifunction card reader supports a wide range of common methods and enables customers to use their existing RFID chips or cards. The RFID reader always reads the UID (Unique Identifier) as the primary identification number by default. However, adjustments can be made on request to read other identification numbers.

To visually signal the measurement results, the device has power LEDs on the back. This enables an ESD measurement that goes beyond the screen. The light is projected onto the mounting surface of the device.

WORK EFFICIENTLY
The web server
The individual EPO gatekeepers in the network are accessed via the integrated web server. The web server can be used to carry out administrative configurations, such as uploading a user database or creating a network share for data storage. The web server also allows the current measurement history of all devices in the network to be displayed. This provides a convenient way to control important functions directly from your workstation. Of course, these settings can also be made directly on the device itself.
INTELLIGENT ESD PERSONAL INSPECTION DEVICES
The network functionality of the EPA Gatekeeper enables operation in a network without the need for additional server software. Up to 64 devices can independently form a network and synchronize their data with each other. This approach, which is based on plug & play and does not require additional server software, enables operation that is largely independent of the rest of the IT environment. As a result, IT updates at the customer's premises have no impact on the functions and operation of EPA Gatekeeper. This keeps the commissioning of the devices in the network as simple as possible.
