With its new CPS-i series, CAMTEC is setting new standards in the field of high-performance industrial and laboratory power supplies. The series was developed specifically for applications that require the highest levels of availability, flexibility, and ease of maintenance—such as test automation, industrial manufacturing, power supply systems, and critical infrastructure.
The modular design allows for flexible scaling of the output power from 2 kW to 105 kW. Up to 35 power supplies can be interconnected in a master-slave architecture to form a high-performance system. This allows the power supply to be precisely tailored to the specific power requirements. At the same time, individual modules can be expanded, replaced, or reused for other applications at any time.
A particular highlight of the CPS-i series is its browser-based configuration. All settings can be configured via a standard web browser, regardless of the operating system—no additional software is required. Optional plug-and-play LAN interfaces automatically detect the corresponding power supply after replacement and calibrate themselves. Defective communication modules—for example, following a power surge or lightning strike—can thus be replaced directly on-site without the need for time-consuming service calls or prolonged system downtime.
The CPS-i series also delivers impressive cost-effectiveness. Thanks to its intelligent modular design, redundant systems can be implemented with significantly less hardware. Often, a single additional power supply is all that is needed to ensure a high level of reliability, which significantly reduces both capital and operating costs compared to conventional solutions.
The power supplies are manufactured at CAMTEC’s own plant in Germany and are characterized by a long service life and reliable operation even under demanding conditions. An innovative 3D cooling concept, high-quality dual fans, and flexible installation options allow for both traditional installation in 19-inch cabinets and free-standing mounting within the system.
