Inrush current limiter ESB001 from CAMTEC Power Supplies

Introducing a new generation of its leading inrush current limiters with a 75% smaller footprint.

World's smallest inrush current limiter series now available.

The new inrush current limiter series ESB001 is only one TE (17.5 mm) wide - the new inrush current limiter series from the world market leader for inrush current limiters CAMTEC Power Supplies. This makes the CAMTEC ESB001 by far the smallest ESB device in its power class.

The latest development from the power supply specialists from the Black Forest also scores points for its low heat generation of just 1.1 W @230Vac at 99.97 percent efficiency: this allows it to be mounted flush with the neighboring devices in the control cabinet without any wall-to-wall spacing. The new ESB devices really come into their own wherever space on the top-hat rail is at a premium - such as in retrofits in buildings or in street lighting. Thanks to their small design, they are also suitable for displays in store solutions, showcases at airports or in city centers.

In addition, the use of the devices can help to keep the sum of all inrush currents in the sub-distribution board low, which means that the cost-intensive sequential connection of individual network areas can be dispensed with. Long-term availability guarantees of 10 years and service guarantees of at least 10 years have already helped the CAMTEC ESB101 and space-saving ESB303 inrush current limiter series to become global market leaders. Whether tunnel or power station emergency lighting, industrial buildings, street lighting or residential complexes: these have been used for more than a decade wherever particularly reliable protection of lighting and machine applications is required. They are developed and manufactured exclusively in our own factory in Germany.

Inrush current limiter ESB001 in two variants

The ESB001 series from the specialists for particularly robust switched-mode power supplies and laboratory power supplies is available in two versions for market launch: The ESB001.LED.230VAC is aimed at users of traditional LED lighting in buildings, street lighting and tunnel lighting. The ESB001.24.230VAC is suitable for protecting contact fires on load relays or protecting multiplex MUX channels from harmful inrush currents. The ESB001s meet the demanding industry standards EN61010-1, EN61010-2-201 as well as the current IT standard EN62368-1. They are absolutely EMC-neutral for the switchgear and can be operated in the same way as the familiar ESB101 and ESB303 limiters in all frequencies from the 16 2/3Hz railroad network to the 400Hz on-board network.
