The Artesyn LCM family 300/600/1000/1500/3000 Watt from Advanced Energy covers a very wide range of AC/DC embedded power requirements. This product family has no power derating over the entire input range of 85...264Vac. Furthermore, it has nominal output voltages of 12V, 15V, 24V, 36V or 48Vdc (LCM3000: additionally 18Vdc and 72Vdc) and adjustable voltages in wide ranges from 10.8...52.8Vdc. Together with an optional 5Vdc standby output and an optional protective coating. These closed high power power supplies are characterized by a high build quality with robust screw terminals, a long service life and a typical efficiency at full load of more than 86%. These devices provide a versatile power supply for a wide range of industrial, medical, military and process automation applications. Control by a digital signal processor allows a high degree of flexibility in modification and even includes a PM bus on the LCM300 and LCM3000 . These AC/DC converters have a comprehensive range of industrial and medical safety approvals and certificates. The variable speed 'Smart Fans' are based on a software control system developed by Advanced Energy that adjusts the fan speed to the required cooling demand and load current of the appliance. Slowing down the fan not only saves energy, but also reduces wear and tear, thereby extending the service life of the power supply unit.
