Description
Application principle
This voltage transformer is basically used for current measurement. To use it for voltage measurement, a current proportional to the voltage must be generated by means of an upstream primary resistor R1. The primary resistor R1 can be determined by the user.
Primary resistance R1:
The optimum accuracy of the voltage transformer is achieved when used with a rated primary current. If possible, the primary resistance should be dimensioned so that a primary current of 10mA is achieved at the nominal voltage to be measured.
Technical data
Measurement of nominal voltage Vpn 250V:
R1 = 25kOhm / 2.5W, Ip = 10mA - accuracy is +/- 0.9% of Vpn (Ta = +25°C)
R1 = 50kOhm / 1.25W, Ip = 5mA - accuracy is +/- 1.5% of Vpn (Ta = +25°C)
