Recom RACM15E-K series - 15 Watt AC/DC power supply units for DIN rail mounting or open variant

The open frame RACM15E-K/OF components measure 3.1 x 0.9 x 0.8 inches (80 x 23.8 x 22 mm) and have "MolexTM" connectors. The RACM15E-K/PMAD components are housed in IP20 enclosures with push-in connectors for wire connections and measure 3.2 x 1.1 x 1.1 inches (83 x 26.4 x 29.5 mm). These components fit into a standard 1.5 module width for DIN rail applications without having to reduce the distance to neighboring modules.

Output voltages of 3.3V at 12W nominal power as well as 5, 12, 15, 24 and 30VDC are available. All outputs are fully protected against overvoltage, overload and short circuit. In the event of overload, the components offer constant current limiting suitable for non-linear loads and a self-resetting "hiccup" mode in the event of short circuits. The operating temperature range extends from -40°C to +85°C, with derating taking place from an ambient temperature of 50°C in still air.

The RACM15E-K series is safety certified according to the IEC/EN62368-1, IEC/EN60335-1, IEC61558 and IEC60601-1/ANSI/AAMIES60601-1 standards. For medical applications, the components are designed for 2xMOPP in overvoltage category II (OVCII) up to a height of 5000m and meet the specifications for the maximum BF touch current of 100µA for applied parts. The components can also be used in OVCIII environments up to 3000m according to IEC61558-2-16 and IEC60335-1.

The no-load current is typically less than 100mW to meet ecodesign requirements and the EN55032 Class B standard for conducted EMI is achieved with a floating load.

The RACM15E-K power supply units achieve an efficiency of up to 86%, which results in a long service life and high reliability. The MTBF is over 1 million hours in accordance with MIL-HDBK-217.

Typical applications for the RACM15E-K series include industrial automation, industrial measurement devices, home medical devices, building automation, surveillance and household appliances.
