Description
SxV soldering tips are part of the standard soldering tip program for the Metcal soldering systems of the PS-900/MFR1100, MFR-2210 and MFR-1351 series.
The second letter in the part number indicates the temperature series. The SFV temperature series has a nominal temperature of 390 ˚C. Metcal recommends the SFV series for the majority of applications. However, the family also offers a higher temperature series called SCV, nominal 450 ˚C, for high temperature and thermally demanding applications. The STV series has a nominal temperature of 330 ˚C for low load applications.
The tips can be used with leaded and lead-free solder. Metcal's SmartHeat® technology automatically adjusts the power levels for each soldering process.
