Description
The QS500 safety shoe from BIRKENSTOCK with replaceable footbed provides secure support and relieves your feet so that you can stand, walk and run comfortably at work for many hours a day, even in a challenging environment. The QS500 is a simple, modern sneaker with 6-hole lacing.
This ESD version was specially developed for people who work in the microelectronics sector or with high-frequency technology. ESD stands for Electro Static Discharge. These shoe models actively ensure a permanent gentle discharge of the wearer. The antistatic elements in the sole compensate for potential electrical voltage differences between people and the working environment by permanently "earthing" the feet and can be recognized by the circular yellow emblem. Warning: The ESD range is up to 35 MOhm, so it is not insulating!
The slip-resistant, metal-free and oil and petrol-resistant outsole also absorbs energy in the heel area and is puncture-resistant. A 200 joule steel toe cap with scratch-resistant cap protection protects the forefoot. The upper material is made of water-repellent smooth leather (WRU) and offers antistatic protection.
The shoe is certified in accordance with EN ISO 20345:2011 and meets the requirements of protection class S3.
