Description
ER2218 is a low-viscosity epoxy casting resin with excellent thermal stability. The material was developed so that printed circuit boards (partially) encapsulated with it can undergo the reflow soldering process and remain stable during the brief period of exposure to high temperatures. The system uses a curing agent that is free of DDM or other aromatic amines. The flame-retardant technology used is “clean” and results in relatively low emissions of toxic gases and smoke.
Its extremely low viscosity makes it the perfect choice for potting highly complex and small electronic assemblies with very small gap dimensions that are used across a very wide temperature range
