Description
The R-78HBxx/W series switching regulators with high efficiency and a high input voltage range up to 72V are ideal as a replacement for the 78xx series linear regulators. The efficiency of up to 93% means that very little energy is wasted in the form of heat, eliminating the need for heat sinks with their additional space and mounting costs. A wide input voltage range allows full utilization of stored energy from standard 12, 24 and 36V batteries as well as COB LED drivers. No external components are required to create a fully regulated, short-circuit proof supply. A built-in protection diode enables high capacitive loads. Typical applications include auxiliary fan constant voltage power supplies powered by constant current LED drivers as well as industrial, aerospace and battery powered applications.
