Description
The RMD500 series DC/DC converter, which can be mounted on a housing, is designed for rail vehicles and transportation applications. The device is designed with a 4:1 input voltage range of 43.2VDC to 170VDC for nominal 72V and 110V. The 5kVdc isolated 24Vdc output ensures safe isolation of the load. The converter has a constant and high efficiency of 95%, and the baseplate mounting allows a wide operating temperature range for class OT4+ST1&ST2 from -40°C to +85°C without derating. Input reverse polarity protection, inrush current limiting, 10 ms bridging time, remote control and OR-ing diodes at the output round off the functionality of this fully rail-compatible plug & play device.
