Protection against antistatic discharges

Ensuring protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD ) plays a crucial role in the electronics industry. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) refers to the exchange of charges between objects with different electrostatic potentials.

Comprehensive protection against electrostatic discharge is of the utmost importance during the transportation, production and storage of electronic components. To ensure ESD protection during the production of electronic components, an ESD-protected zone (EPA - Electrostatic Protected Area) is set up. This ESD protection must be maintained throughout the entire production process, from delivery of the components to final inspection and packaging.

In the EPA zone, work clothing and all furniture must be made of materials that protect against discharges by dissipating the flowing charges to earth. The design of REECO industrial furniture ensures full protection against electrostatic discharge. Particular attention is paid to the use of special antistatic paint. All metallic components of REECO furniture, such as frames, shelves and brackets, are coated with conductive paint during the production process. The surfaces of the worktables consist of conductive panels covered with ESD laminate to ensure that electrostatic charges are discharged to earth.

All products offered meet the requirements of IEC-61340-5-1.

Modularity
