RACPRO1-4SP series: Intelligent 4-channel load switch with electronic fuse (e-Fuse)

The RACPRO1-4SP series 4-channel load switches with integrated electronic fuse provide precise overcurrent limitation and real-time display of the output current. Each channel is separately protected, which means that faults on a load have no effect on the overall functionality of the system.

LED indicators provide information on the current current status: green indicates normal operating conditions, yellow indicates that the current is within the limit values, orange indicates a current limit and red indicates overcurrent or short circuit. In addition, a potential-free DC-OK output enables system monitoring. Each channel can be switched on or off individually, making diagnostics and maintenance easier.

RECOM's e-Fuses are available in variants with maximum channel currents of 5A and 10A and offer a short-term power increase of 150% for up to 5 seconds. They can also handle overloads of more than 150% for up to 100 milliseconds to prevent false shutdowns. When the system is switched on, the channels are activated sequentially to reduce the inrush current, using an adjustable delay time. In the event of a system overload, the loads are switched off in reverse order so that critical functions remain active for as long as possible.

The overload protection can be set to hiccup or trip mode as required. The 5A versions can also be configured to limit the available power to less than 100 W for LPS installations (NEC Class 2).

The e-fuses have a long life expectancy (>80,000h/40°C) and simple wiring with tool-free push-in and lever terminals. The input and output terminals are also paired to allow easy daisy chaining.
