
With the new regulated DC/DC converters R5M, R3M, R2M and R1M with an output of 5W, 3W, 2W and 1W respectively, you can now benefit from the advantages of surface-mount technology.
The DC/DC converter family has a common housing with a footprint of 13.2mm x 9.1mm and a height of 10.2mm, with the R2M also available in a through-hole DIP8 housing. The DC/DCs operate over a 4:1 input range, 9-36VDC or 18-75VDC- The R3M, R2M and R1M series also offer a 4.5-18V input. The available outputs are fully regulated: Single 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V or 24V and Dual +/-5V, +/-12V, or +/-15V.
The RECOM DC/DC converters feature on/off control and are protected against short circuits. The advanced thermal and circuit design has resulted in a high efficiency that allows operation up to at least 100°C with derating. At the same time, the products operate at full load at very high temperatures, e.g. up to 90°C for the 1W R1M component. A minimum load is not required.
All power supplies have an insulation of 1.6kV/1min and the EMC limits according to EN55032 Class A and B can be met with a simple external filter. The reliability calculated according to MIL-HDBK 217F, GB at 25°C is high, for example 8.5MHrs for the R1M 1W product.
