NPB-450-NFC: Universal charger with charging curve programming via NFC

MEAN WELL is expanding the NPB-450 charger series with an NFC version. The desired charging curve can now be programmed via an app on a smart phone.

NPB-450-NFC is based on the original NPB-450, retaining most of its features; the main difference is a simpler and faster way to adjust the charging parameters. With the MEAN WELL on the smartphone, the user can conveniently set the charging parameters regardless of whether the charger is powered by AC or not. Unlike the NPB-450, which requires a connection to a computer via the SBP-001 programmer for configuration, the NFC solution offers a simple and convenient way to set the parameters.

NPB-450 is a flexible charger designed for 2-stage and 3-stage charging characteristics. The particularly wide charging voltage range allows it to be used as a charger for a wide range of battery technologies. The charging curves can be adapted to the batteries used to enable optimum charging and extend the service life of the cells.
