MEAN WELL Sustainability Report 2022

MEAN WELL Sustainability Report 2022

Since 2013, MEAN WELL has published a Corporate Social Responsibility Report every two years, which was officially renamed the Sustainability Report in 2021. The current 2022 Sustainability Report was published in April of this year. It is based on corporate sustainability management and the three ESG dimensions and includes nine of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It showcases the efforts and achievements of MEAN WELL in the field of sustainable development and aims to deepen the understanding and trust of stakeholders.

The latest sustainability report contains the following new features:

As MEAN WELL is not a listed company, the previous reporting structure needed to be more complete in terms of data disclosure. A third-party verification process has been added to this report to ensure that the disclosure of the financial report is comparable with the standards of listed companies. Industry-specific indicators have been added to the section on the identification of material topics, which refer to the sustainability standards of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and more accurately reflect the characteristics of the industry. A human rights policy has been added to the sustainability statement and future planning will include all supply chains and partners to achieve the SDG industry network. In addition, MEAN WELL carried out an inventory of greenhouse gases and the carbon footprint of its products for the first time in 2022 and had it audited externally. This lays the foundation for CO2 neutrality.
