The demands placed on bolted connections are constantly increasing, especially for connections with low preload forces, as bolts are often overtightened, which can lead to considerable damage. For this reason, it makes sense to tighten screws to a precisely defined torque.

For quality assurance in the production assembly and repair of electronic components, tools are required that can limit the tightening torque. For this reason, BERNSTEIN has developed a torque screwdriver and a range of preset torque adapters that enable easy handling in the electronics sector.

By using the right tool and the correct torque specifications, you can create a screw connection that meets your requirements permanently and avoids annoying thread repairs.

In addition to conventional screwdriving tools, BERNSTEIN also offers ESD screwdriver solutions for all common screwdriver heads. These are particularly suitable for electrotechnical applications, such as working on protected devices, sensitive circuits and connections.

All ESD screwdrivers are EPA suitable and serve as a safe method of discharging electrostatic charges when working in protected areas such as ESD workstations or ESD protection zones.

ESD electronic screwdriving tools

Our screwdriver has been specially developed for working on electrostatically sensitive components. The blades are made of quality steel to ensure torsion resistance even under maximum stress. The tips are burnished to ensure dimensional stability and prevent chrome chipping (except for socket wrenches). The rotating cap is smooth-running and allows the screwdriver to be held in position despite tightening pressure. Thanks to the ergonomically shaped handle, the screwdriver fits perfectly in the hand.

Torque screwdriver

The torque screwdriver was developed to carry out the screwdriving process precisely and reproducibly with the correct tightening torque. The torque screwdriver can be used to select and set the torque (in the range from 0.05 to 0.6 Nm). It has a hexagonal 1/4" bit holder with a clamping ball, and the torque can be set and locked to the desired level using a knurled screw. Useful accessories include bit adapters from 1/4" to 4 mm bits and an extension (115 mm).
