
The RMD300-UW series DC/DC converters have been specially developed for use in rail vehicles and transportation. With an impressive input voltage range of 12:1, they cover input voltages from 14.4VDC to 170VDC, ideal for nominal voltages of 24V and 110V. These converters offer an isolated and regulated 24V output based on a reinforced isolation system. Thanks to a consistently high efficiency of 95% and a robust baseplate mounting, they can be operated in a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C without loss of performance. An extended temperature model (-E) for -50°C is optionally available for extreme cold conditions. Additional functions such as input reverse polarity protection, inrush current limitation, 10 ms bypass time, remote control and output ORing diode make this railway-compatible device a reliable solution. The RMD300-UW delivers 300 watts continuously and 330 watts for 10 seconds.
The RMD300 series chassis-mountable DC/DC converter complies with all relevant standards for rolling stock and transportation applications, including EN50155, EN50121-3-2, DB-EMV06, EN50124-1, EN50125-1, EN61373 1B, EN62368-1 and EN45545-2. With its wide input voltage range of 12:1, it covers input voltages from 14.4VDC to 170VDC for nominal voltages of 24, 36, 48, 72 and 110V. The isolated and regulated 24V output is integrated into a reinforced isolation system. The base plate mounting allows operation in a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C without derating.
