BIC-2200 Series - Bidirectional power supply unit with energy recycling function

The BIC-2200 is MEAN WELL 's first bidirectional power supply with energy recovery, designed for battery production applications. The BIC-2200 not only converts AC power to DC power, but also, when the DC power needs to be discharged, converts the DC energy back into the AC grid for use by surrounding equipment in the plant. Furthermore, the discharge timing can be programmed to smooth peaks and troughs to reduce electricity costs during charging. Using the BIC-2200 series can significantly increase energy utilization and reduce production costs.

To meet global safety requirements, the BIC-2200 series is fully CE, UL, TUV and CB 62368-1 certified. Most importantly, the energy recovery function has been developed in accordance with the IEC 62477-1 standard. The BIC-2200 series, which uses a fully digital design, optimizes operation through digital controllers so that the two-way conversion efficiency is up to 93%. Optionally, the CAN bus communication protocol can be used for control and monitoring. The AC/DC and DC/AC two-way conversion will switch quickly in less than 1 ms to respond to various process changes. For higher loads, up to 5 units can be operated in parallel (total power up to 11000 W). The BIC-2200 series not only lowers construction, production and maintenance costs, but also reduces CO2 emissions in production.
